Why does cox use http rather than https

I am getting emails from cox with links with http rather than https. So why is cox not using https for all communications? I thought https was the standard by now. I use

HTTPS Everywhere

to warn me about bad actors of this sort!

any clues for this?

probably spam, not really from cox.

It is coming to me from links on a Cox.com or Cox.net page, not from anywhere else, so unlikely that it is not directly from Cox. They send me an email from my account and it includes  the HTTP when it should not.

I do not follow these after detection by HTTPS.// EVERYWHERE
