What's the problem? I'm trying to publish my home server and I'm having trouble opening port 80.Can anyone help? Router: Panoramic Bootcode Version 4.2.0.45 Firmware Version 9.1.103HB When I tried to install it as a virtual server with port 80 open, it was not visible from the outside, port forwarding also did not work, disabling the firewall did not affect What's the problem?

Cox won't open port 80 for residential customers. See the following for more information. Reddit discussion about Cox blocking port 80

Port 80 inbound is blocked at the ISP level on every residential provider and honestly should never be open on your end due to the lack of security. Apply a little cunning and you should be able to get TCP/443 (https) to work ;)

All good answers here. This is common practice for residential internet providers for a variety of reasons, including reducing the risk of network attacks.
Thanks @Darkatt for calling out the missing article. We've corrected that.
See here for more information on what ports are blocked and why.

The article for ports blocked or restricted by Cox appears to be missing.

5. Servers. You may not operate, or allow others to operate, servers of any type or any other device, equipment, and/or software providing server-like functionality in connection with the Service, unless expressly authorized by Cox.
You are not allowed to run a server from home, if you need to, you will need Cox Business Service.
