spam and not spam reports bouncing

Hello,

Until recently, I've been able to forward mail which either should be spam or which Cox has flagged as spam, but is not, to either SpamReport@cox.net or ThisIsNotSpam@cox.net. For the last several days, this no longer works, and my forwards are begin bounced. The error message I'm getting is like the following:

<cox-spam@feedback.cloudmark.com>: host 68.1.17.4[68.1.17.4] said: 552

Any idea what's going on, and why this is now failing?

Thanks,

Tim

me too!  that's exactly why i'm here.  it seems to be fine for them to let something that might have a virus in it get to MY mailbox, but they're ever so protective of theirs!

Over the last few days, there has been improvement. Now I am not getting forwards to SpamReport@cox.net bounced back.

However, I am still seeing forwards to ThisIsNotSpam@cox.net bounced. So, whatever fix was done to make reporting spam work should be applied to reporting non-spam e-mails.

Tajkkj,

I would be happy to pass that feedback along to our leadership team.

I gave up forwarding spam over a week or so ago, but I'm still getting bounce back messages two at a time.  It says the mail is attached “below,” but neither of the attachments open to any detail. What are they bouncing back?

FYI, ThisIsNotSpam@cox.net forwards are still being bounced.

Along these lines, I just tried forwarding a phishing e-mail spoofing it was from COX to phishingreport@cox.net, and it was bounced because it was suspected to be SPAM! Interestingly, the sender had a cox.net domain.

Hello, I recommend sending a new email with the suspicious email in question included as an attachment. Simply forwarding the email may result in the email being identified as spam. -Allan, Cox Support Forums Moderator.
