Question on StayConnect WiFi

Will this still work with two networks set up in my house, one for 2.4GHz and one for 5.0GHz?  I have a number of items that just would not work when connected to the 5.0GHz network even though it supposedly will adjust to 2.4GHz for those items that don't support 5.0GHz.

@MickeyStock

Thanks for your inquiry. I've found this for you.

  • The StayConnect Wi-Fi equipment is not compatible with home networks that use multiple active gateways or modems. The Wi-Fi network must use only one network name (SSID) for your entire Wi-Fi network. For example, your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands would both be accessible under the same name, allowing devices to seamlessly connect to the best available signal.

Thanks.  I actually did see that but I was hoping there was either updated information or another option that would allow me to have both networks set up.  I initially used the one network that was able to support both but I had too many devices that wouldn't connect, like my Nordictrack, wifi cameras and a controller (most critical) that manages a large reef aquarium.

Mickey, I understand. I've faced the same connectivity constraints with a couple of my own devices.
