My house was broken into and my modem was stolen. Cox says I have to pay for it? Is that true?
The modem, among other items, was stolen and Cox told me to file a claim with my home owners insurance. I rent and don't have rental insurance. What can I do?

What I would do...no guarantees...is go to your Solution Store with Police Report in-hand and explain your situation. The rep may issue a replacement and you'd just continue your rental fee. If not, purchase you own modem but ensure it's listed on the list of Cox list of allowed modems.
