We bought a new construction home in Bella Vista. When we tried to establish service, we were told that Cox would have to extend their network to get service to our address. (Never mind that every surrounding house seems to have service.)
I heard from a Cox "Planner" who told me that it would cost $2533.50 to extend the service 150 feet, but that Cox would "eat" $2000 of that cost. After he completed the plan, on July 9, 2026,he asked me to sign a "Network Build-out Agreement" and pay the $533.50 to get the process going. He said the project could take up to three weeks. Having no viable alternative, I agreed and paid. (I have copies of the Build-out agreement and the receipt.)
On July 24, I called Cox Customer "Service". I was on the phone for 51 minutes while the agent figured out that he couldn't help me and transferred me to Tech. Tech transferred me to Sales, who transferred me back to Tech. The lady at Tech tried to transfer me back to Sales, who had already proven they didn't know what I was talking about so I hung up.
On July 28, 2026, my wife and I went to the local Cox store to see if they could help us get some information about the status of the project. (We're twenty days in and I see no signs of movement.) The store manager explained that Cox had to pull a permit from the City of Bella Vista and that Bella Vista is very slow in issuing permits.
On July 29, we went to the permitting office in Bella Vista to see if any permit had been applied for. No application was on file and the lady at the permitting office, who should be in a position to know, said that, unless Cox would be digging outside the utility easement, no permit was necessary.
Someone is not being truthful and no one I can reach can give me any information about this project.
Does anyone know who might be in charge of network build-outs in Bella Vista and put me in touch with him? All I want to know is the current status of the project. We really can't live in our house without internet access.

Hi there. I certainly apologize for the construction issue you are experiencing. We can take a look and see if we can find out any contacts for you. Can you please email Cox.Help@cox.com with your full name and complete address? That way we can take a look.

Cox's contractors showed up on August 2 and installed the cable necessary to tie into the existing Cox network. They were done by noon or so and were polite and friendly. The foreman told us Cox would probably be out in "a couple of days" to complete the network tie-in and run service to the house.
It's the 5th and there's been no sign of Cox. I can't wait to see how long the actual connection will take.
