How to transfer account ownership?
I'm moving out of my apartment but some of my friends are staying/moving in so I was wondering if it'd be possible to just transfer the internet service account to them so I don't have to cancel service, drop off the modem etc., and then they'll have to start a new one and reinstall it back again.

Unless things have drastically changed since I worked at Cox, there is no way to put YOUR account into someone else's name. They will have to open a new account with Cox, and that can cancel your account, and they can simply transfer the equipment once you provide Cox your approval.
