How to delete Cox hotspot

How do I remove Cox hotspot wifi from Networks search? Thanks!

To disable Cox Hotspots, complete the following steps.

  1. Open a web browser and enter www.cox.com/myprofile.
  2. Sign in to your account by entering your primary Cox user ID and password.
  3. From the Password, Security & Privacy section, click Privacy preferences.
  4. From the Privacy preferences page, does the Cox Hotspot section display?
    • If yes, then click the radio button next to Disable.
    • If no, then contact us for help.
  5. Click Save changes.

That will disable YOUR hotspot, but won't disable the hotspots of other gateways/APs around you.

ummm, I think he wanted to remove Cox Hotspot from his device network search?

Do you have a better suggestion? I assumed they meant their own hotspot. There is no way to block all hotspots in general.

I know that, but the wording of his question led me to believe he didn't want his device seeing the hot spots.
