Gigablast should have 1,000 Mbps Download and upload

When gigablast first came out It said gig up and down and I remember getting that now I have 500Mbps down and 35Mbps up i pay $120 a month and you guys keep changing the speeds and the pricing. whatever happened to you get what you pay for. not you get what you pay for for a month. Since cox has a monopoly on the internet in phoenix there is nothing anyone can do. we need to sign a bill against this abuse.

Only in areas where Gigablast is serviced by fiber directly to the home would speeds be symmetrical. Otherwise, they are currently limited to 35 Mbps upload speeds through DOCSIS 3.1.

OP wrote, "...gig up and down and I remember getting that..." so I'll assume fiber and no DOCSIS.

If you want 1 Gbps down...get the 2 Gig plan.

Hey Nick, Are you taking those readings off WiFi ? When I take a reading on WiFi I get 500 down and about 30 up. If I hook it up wired and take a reading it's 940 down and about 34 up. That's for my area.

Good point...we leapt right over how OP is testing.

Yeah...don't test through a shared device.
