Does the "Cable Out" on the contour box relay the internet signal to my cable modem?

A little background to my question: 

I have had Internet with Cox for a while now and decided that I wanted to upgrade to cable by using contour. I have my cable modem connected and everything is fine. 

I get to installing the contour receiver and I install using the cable that I use my internet for. Am I able to connect my modem using the "Cable Out" on the contour receiver and get my internet back? Because right now, I can only use my connection for either internet or cable. can't be both.
