Data Usage Overage Forgiveness

Earlier this year Cox gave a break for everyone affected by the pandemic by not charging for data overages.  Is it possible that those breaks will return?  I am in a household where both my wife and I are now working remotely and I have three kids who are all distance learning.  I would love to go back to the office and use their internet but that is not an option.  Needless to say we cruise through our 1.25 TB limit real quick.  I hate paying $50 in addition to already overpriced and under-delivering internet service that has become essential for work and school.  Is there any possibility that Cox will bring back their overage forgiveness?  They did it at the beginning of the Pandemic why would they stop in the middle?  At least wait until this thing is over and kids are back in school and parents are back in the office!!  I know that Cox has never been known for their customer service but as this continues it just feels slimy and that they are doing whatever they can to take advantage of people who have no other option.

just how are they un-delivering, your family uses a lot of data, bite the bullet & pay the $50!!

This is a disgusting way to think. You do NOT bite the bullet and PAY... I've come here to complain about this as well. This is absolutely disgusting and every ISP should be absolutely ashamed of their money grubbing ways. Don't be an idiot.

Hi HRad, Cox suspended data overage charges between March 16, 2020, and July 1, 2020, to aid customers adjusting to changes imposed by the current health crisis. We then raised the data plans of all internet tiers to 1.25 TB on July 1, 2020. We're waiving the data overage charges the first time customers exceeded their monthly data plan. We have no information regarding further adjustments to monthly data plans. I'm sorry! -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
