cox webmail

why is webmail so slow.  I can log into my account in seconds and webmail takes more than 3 minutes most times.  Sometimes fast. I have had cox for 30 plus years but may look somewhere else

I also continue to have issues with the Cox email..  It does not send - I can only receive.   The issues started back when the updates were implemented and we were all required to change the log in access to POP.   If I did not have my email tied to so many communications I would change to gmail.  But I am a patient person.

ps. I have the premier service and no one has ever called me back.  I am having to call the cox help

Please tell me what settings you're using for your outgoing mail server. Your outgoing server should be: smtp.cox.net, port 587 with TLS enabled or port 465 with SSL enabled and check the authentication box, if available.

impatience,

What type of browser are you using? Also, do you have any anti-virus software? If so, what type?

The new web mail is periodically slow- sometimes logging in results in a connection error after an inordinate delay.  Once in a while it's okay... at best it's okay.  I suppose this still qualifies as an "improvement" and an excuse for the next round of across the board rate increases detailed in my most recent bill.
