Cox offers 4 levels of internet service

$40 a month, $60, $80, $100.   I currently have the Premier which costs $80.  I only use the internet to check email,  browse websites, watch YouTube videos.  I don't do any video editing or anything high-powered.  Will the cheapest "tier" work for me?  I paid for the higher tier because I didn't want to wait a long time for pages to load.  I know that the forum is not for billing questions but this is not a billing question.

If I were you I would go for the 60 dollar plan because you wouldnt want guest to have a slow internet speed at your place.

Hi Yak. Check out www.cox.com/.../speed-advisor.html which will help you decide which tier of internet speed you need. Thanks, Lisa - Cox Support Forums Moderator

Thanks, Lisa.  It looks like I could drop to Essential for all of my needs.  Most Cox services don't require a contract or 12 month plan.  The page you gave me says that switching has a 12 month commitment. Is that correct?  Using "Essential" will I notice a difference in the time it takes to load a page while browsing?
