Can’t connect to internet.

I’m a new customer setting up my internet, but it won’t connect to my ps5. It keeps saying my internet service provider or my router is preventing my system from connecting. I’ve been chatting with customer service but he’s been useless so far. Please help

UPDATE: My problem has been resolved thank everyone who helped out.

Try this. As per here, that error points to a DNS issue. If that doesn't work, what model router do you have? Panoramic gateway? If so, try turning off Advance Security. and make sure the PS5 isn't blocked or put on "hold" via the parental controls in the Panoramic app. Last, can other devices get online?

Hi, there. What is the exact error? Also, are you connected wirelessly or via ethernet? Thank you, in advance.

I apologize, I am not sure. Does the PS5 prefer a WPA3 frequency? If so, that may need to be enabled in the router. If you have a Panoramic router, you should be able to verify that in the Cox Panoramic App, or you can email us the physical address and any other pertinent information to Cox.Help@cox.com with your name and a copy of this forum message. We're glad to assist you there.

Hi Zphill754,

I would recommend checking your settings manually.  You may need to try power cycling the modem and router first and then checking the settings manually.

If you are using one of our Panoramic devices, using the app will assist you a great deal.

Hope this helps.

I live in an apartment complex and the routers are on the ceilings, and don’t have access to the modem

Try deleting the WiFi connectivity information from the PS5, restarting it and then entering the connection information manually. Remember passwords are case sensitive.
