Can you use a different wireless router with the cox router/modem?

I was just wanting to make sure that I can hook up a linksys wireless router to my cox wireless router/modem? I don't think that the cox modem is very stable and it drops the signal sometimes.

Yes and you can log into the Cox router and shutoff the Wi-Fi if you want

Are you renting this router from Cox?  If you're to just turn it off, why rent it?  Buy a modem, return the Panoramic and use your gooder router.
