Bug — Disabling Cox Hotspot in Privacy Settings does not remove "CoxWifi" / "Cox Mobile" SSIDs from Panoramic Gateway

Issue:
I'm trying to permanently disable the Cox In-Home Wifi Hotspot guest networks broadcasting from my Panoramic Wifi Gateway. Despite following the documented steps, the guest SSIDs remain broadcasting.

Steps I followed:

  1. Went to My Profile > Edit Profile Settings > Security and Privacy
  2. Under the Privacy section, found Cox Wifi
  3. Set "Cox Wifi for guests" to Off
  4. Saved changes

Result:
The setting saves successfully with no errors, but both guest SSIDs — "Cox Mobile" and "CoxWifi" — are still broadcasting from my gateway and still connectable.

Troubleshooting already done:

  • Verified the setting shows as "Off" after saving (confirmed on repeat visits to the page, so it's not silently reverting)
  • Power-cycled/restarted the gateway
  • Confirmed the SSIDs are still visible and connectable on multiple devices after restart
  • Called Cox phone support (1-800-234-3993). The rep walked me through the exact same steps, which did not resolve the issue. When I asked to open a ticket to report this as a bug, the call was disconnected.

What I'm looking for:

  • Confirmation this is a known bug — the "Cox Wifi for guests" toggle isn't propagating the disable command to the gateway
  • Escalation to a tech support tier that can push the config change to the gateway directly, or manually disable these SSIDs on my equipment
  • A ticket/case number I can reference going forward, since phone support wasn't able to provide one

Has anyone else run into this, or can a Cox moderator get this escalated?
