Wi-Fi Extenders...

I have a Motorola SBG6580 Surfboard Modem/Router, but the Wi-Fi signal is very weak on floors of my home that are below the room where my Modem/Router is.  What Wi-Fi extender brand and speed is recommended to use with my Modem / Router?

Sure you want a Wifi exstender? They basically cut your Wifi speed in half? A AP is faster and same price, just need to run a ethernet wire.

If not, what is your price point?

I actually use a Netgear R6300v2 wireless router for this as an access point. I originally bought the router to bridge with AT&T Uverse service, but switched to Cox. My remote PC downstairs using the R6300 gets close to 200mpbs down and close to 25 up. I am very happy.
