Can someone PLEASE help me with my internet connection? I just got a Cox wifi wireless modem and also was sent a telephone modem. I cannot seem to connect the wifi no matter what I have tried and have spoken to at least three different customer support people. I do not want to pay the fee to have someone come install it because I pay way too much already. Its supposed to be easy. My wireless router is showing I have no internet. I am told I have to connect via coax cable to something, but what? The phone modem coax is connected, but connecting my wifi via coax....connect to what? I already have a splitter behind my tv and no more spots to connect anything. The main cable outlet is on a far wall and has a splitter to my tv and tvs in two bedrooms. Thanks.

Hi meac,
I want to verify the wireless modem that you are using is connected to the coax outlet. Without it being connected to the cable outlet you will not be able to get online. Depending on the location of the outlet you may need to get a different type of splitter. Sounds like you are currently using a 2-way splitter, you may need one with a 3rd outlet to connect to for the cable modem.

If your not sure where to screw in the coax, I don't think a home network self installation is going to work. Im not saying that to be mean, just realstic. Do you have anyone that can help you?
Also, what kind of modem do you have for internet?
