I had to change out my cable box because a bunch of my channels kept saying temporarily off air. I spent 20 min on the phone with a support tech to finally have him tell me it appeared to be my box and I would need to exchange it. So I did that but with this new box it take like 20-30 seconds for the next channel to come up when I change channels. My old box didn't have a delay like that... What's the deal?

I tried cycling the box and it didn't change anything. It still takes quite long for the next channel to come up.

With the new box, when it takes 20-30 seconds, what does it look like on the TV screen? Black? Some other color? Or the temporary off air message like you were getting with the first box? When it happens, try pressing "Info" on the remote and see if you can see the channel banner on the bottom. That will tell you if its a problem Cox > cable box or from cable box > TV.

Screen is black... No sound, no picture, no channel banner. Pressing info button does nothing until the channel actually comes up.
