Why are contracts so one-sided?

So Cox can not provide me the services I pay over $200/month for but if I want to find another provider I will have to pay a termination fee?  What fee does Cox pay for not providing a service that I pay for. Cable down, internet problems, Contour issues, etc.  If Cox belives in their product, why not let me out of the contract if you can't provide decent service?

Any the "customer support" peron named Johnny with employee number 37996 should be fired immediately.  I hope Cox recorded the call I had with her ata about 2pm Arizona time. From now on I will record the calls also.

Are you just ranting, or do you have a technical question (which is the purpose of this forum) ??

Based on your friendly nature you must work for Cox.  The technical question is if they keep sending people out to my house to fix the problem with signal strength and quality, and the problem is only fixed temporarily, why do I have to pay an early termination fee to get a reliable service.  The "master technican" today said its likely a software problem.  That's the 4th reason from the 4th person in a little over 6 months.

I don't work for Cox. Never have. Asking why you must pay a early termination fee is not a technical question. I have a suspicion that you're leaving a lot out.
