My DVR was at 67% I went in to watch one of the Christmas shows that was recorded. The DVR now showed I had 100% available and now there were only like 13 movies. I called in, the tech said she would check a code to leave the system on and let her know when the system was back up. Wa la the same 13 movies were there but where are all the others? A tech came out to my home last night, he looked at the box and at the cox equipment outside. He said the phone tech must have did a reset and that wipes out all the recordings. Well if that was done why are there still 13 titles still showing? Of the 13 titles still listed I can view only 1 of them the other 12 get error message 2.1.2.10. This is the second box I've had in the last 8 or so months. Is this normal? What do I need to do? Change out for another box? I'm getting frustrated with losing movies that I wanted to watch.

The reset should not have caused you to lose your DVR recordings, as they are stored on the hard drive in the box. That error code sounds like the recordings are corrupt and unable to play them back. We can look into this further, please email us your account information at cox.help@cox.com.
