Other than Cox directly, does anyone know where I can purchase the Netgear CG4500BD gateway?

Curious, if you stay away from gateways, what modem and router combination would you recommend?

Thats just my personal preference, but I am kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my setup. Motorola SB6141 and RT-N66U. Some other things to consider is cooling and good power. I use a Zalman laptop cooler and a Cyberpower UPS. If you don't need battery backup then I suggest a Tripp Lite Isobar.
Also check out Smallnetbuilder since when it comes to your wireless router, a lot of it comes down to your price range. No point buying a 150$ router if your network is mostly Wifi-G. You would be much better paying 40-60$ for a router and putting some 3rd party firmware on it.
