rrules,

I am assuming you mean in reference to our "Go All Digital" initiative. This link contains resources that may help.  http://bit.ly/CoxGoAllDigital   Also, specific information for connecting VCR's, DVD recorders or gaming consoles with a digital receiver or mini box.  I hope this helps, please let me know if you have other questions.

Any TV, whether it's analog or digital, will need some type of receiver, mini box, or cablecard once our broadcast goes all digital.  Of course there is more than one way to skin a cat and there is more than one way to get you the service you want. How is your equipment connected now and what type of end result do you want with the service? Having this information will better help us and the community address your concerns.

The Minibox is the cheapest way to hook up to any TV, analog or digital, but not the only way.

The Minibox has coax out to go into the analog tuner of your TV or other device.  It also has HDMI digital out.

My Cisco 8742HDC DVR has coax, composite video (yellow RCA connector), component video (3 RCA connectors for HD output) and HDMI.  So yes, this device can connect to an analog TV.  Since I don't work for Cox, I don't have info on other Cox set-top boxes but would think they are similar.

My analog tv's are hooked to the wall cabel outlets in the basement.  We only use them to keep track of weather when have to go basement for storms.

I do not need any fancy service but it would be nice to find a hook up that did not cost $2.00 a month to get service Iam all ready paying for.

rrrules,

You can purchase a converter box and digital antenna to get the over the air channels in times of emergencies. We would not be able to help with connecting or support the TVs with this connection but there is a government website you can go to for more support.
