Why am I constantly having to switch back to a program I want to watch. It seems every night at 10 pm, no matter what I am watching the channel changes to 1041. A message comes up about selecting 1041 at 10 pm. But even though I don't select it, the channel still changes. I have tried hitting the select button to see it that will keep the station I am still wanting to watch, but it still changes. This is very annoying. Maybe it is time to change to a different provider. We have been customers of Cox for over 30 years. But I really don't like the idea that Cox will change the channel. This has been going on for over a week. Please stop changing my TV channel.
Thank you,
A dissatisfied customer

What is on channel 1041? What receiver/IPG are you using? Did you double-check for set timers?
It isn't Cox doing this. It's a setting in your software.

Thanks for reaching out to us through the Cox Forums! It sounds like there is a "Reminder Timer" set for channel 1041 at 10pm each evening.
Accessing the Reminder Timer settings depending on what type of cable receiver you have. If you press the Settings button on your remote control, does a Quick Settings menu pop up? If not, skip the rest of this paragraph and read the next paragraph. If a Quick Settings menu pops up, press the A button on your remote and then use the arrow buttons to scroll down to "Timers." Once “Timers” is highlighted, use the arrow buttons to highlight “Reminder Timer.” If any Reminders are displayed, highlight the timer and use the arrow keys to highlight “Off” and then press Select. Press the Exit button on your remote to exit the menu.
Press the Menu button on your Cox remote two times, and then use the arrow buttons to scroll down to "Timer Review." Once Timer Review is highlighted, use the arrow buttons to see if there are any reminders scheduled. If so, highlight the Reminder and set it to Off. Once Off is selected, press the Exit button on your remote to exit the menu.
Please let us know if these steps help and if there is a Reminder currently set up.
