Unable to send email from computers at home
I have two email accounts, both will not send email
My wife has the same on her computer both will not send email
we are able to receive email on all accounts
we both use Outlook 10 and Windows 7
I can send email from my iphone
went to accounts to test with new passwords Log into incoming works, send test e-mail fails .. Send test e-mail message: The server responded: 421 Cannot connect to SMT
My internet and network work fine
On more settings nothing is checked, I tried checking requires smtp authorization and restarting outlook... same problem
On advanced setting It has port 25
My wife can send email using her own website account from go daddy,
What am I missing here?? seams like cox sever is messed up ???

Trying to send from outbox I get
Task 'xxxxxxxxxx@cox.net (1) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67) : ' The server responded: 421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 68.6.19.8 (68.6.19.8:25), connect error 10060'

Settings have not changed on my, nor my wife's, computer. Send worked Sat morning then stopped Sat afternoon on both computers

It's possible that your email accounts are using outdated port settings. I tried changing settings on the more settings menu, Outgoing server tab and clicked the Requires authentification box
went to advanced tab and tried port 587 with TLS ... tested and logged on to incoming but got this on send
Send test e-mail message: The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 68.6.19.8 (68.6.19.8:587), connect error 10060

So low and behold everything works again on both computers, no changes to the accounts no reboots, nothing... magic
