tv displays telephone number when a call comes in

Hello, My TV used to display an incoming telephone number on the screen. Now, it does not. How do I get my TV to display incoming telephone numbers on the screen?

Did you upgrade to Contour 2? If so, it does not come with TV caller ID yet. I hear very soon though. If its the same service, first try unplugging/reconnecting the power for a few seconds and let the box load for 5-10min before testing. If that doesn't work, have someone at Cox remove the "cable occurrence" from the box then add it back on, which will reboot the box in a different way. Last, make sure it is enabled in the settings after all the resets before testing again.

jvee13,

Please also check the settings for TV caller ID in the settings menu on the box and let me know if other TV's with Advanced TV recievers are also affected.

Technowhelp,

For the most part, we no longer remove cable occurrences at the Tier 1 level to resolve this, which is a recent change.

Dustin at Cox Chesapeake recycled my occurrence...whichever tier of support that would be.

Tier 1 doesn't do a lot of things, but I didn't think that restricted the support given here. When I said "someone at Cox" I meant a moderator just as much as I meant Tier 1 via phone. It was meant as a last case scenario.

I am curious though, what was the recent change?
