I have TiVo recorder with a Cox Interface Card. Does that include the adapter for all digital?

You won't need a minibox for the TV connected using a cable card and tuning adapter with your TiVo. The same goes for any TV's currently connected with an Advanced TV receiver.

I am glad that is the case, because I have a digital TV with a Cox tuning adapter and cable card to convert the signal appropriately for my TiVo digital recorder. But for the past 2-3 days we have been getting a message when we try to watch certain channels that have made the switch to 'All Digital' - particularly the Weather Channel (1069):
The channel is not authorized.
Contact your cable provider for more information (V58)
So, it is even more complex than that. Sometimes I can watch the digital channel (say 1069) for anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes before the image freezes and I get the message. Other times, if I flip to a digital channel (say, 1083) I will get a black screen and the message.
Here is a picture of my television screen when the message popped up this morning.
This morning I checked all of the connections, unplugged everything and re-plugged it back in to each component and the wall. I also used the web "Reset your cable box" option to see if that would help. No resolution.
So what is the root of the problem and the fix on my end?

sounds like it be a card pairing or account issue which shouldbe fixed by calling cox

I agree. Along with the change, they are moving channels around. You card probably needs a pairing hit (NOT to be re-paired) to update the info.

So, apparently the solution, for our situation, is to TURN OFF the Cox tuning adapter w/cable card. All channels - digital and not - are working fine. No interruptions. Been watching for 2 hrs. and no freezing or problems.

I tried turning off the tuning adapter, I also turned off my TIVO - that solved the other channel issues (v53 and V52 messages) but it did not solve the issue with the channel for FreeForm. So I checked my other TV's - all 3 TV's I get the same message - Channel not provided by Tuning Adapter

Is the light on the tuning adapter solid?

Yes - it is solid. And we do get the HD channel for Freeform 1089. It's just 89 that we get the message on.

Please run a channel scan on the Tivo. If the issue continues, I will need to view the account and possibly submit a ticket to our video team. Please email me at cox.help@cox.com with the account details and a link to this thread.
