The guide shows incorrectly the programs for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, 76 /1076

It seems it shows the East coast programming. Now the guide show Jessie Stone, while the Diagnosis Murder is on.

It's both annoying, and interferes with record scheduling.

Who can address this kind of problems?

The box shows the correct time, and other channels show the programming correctly. I noticed the problem I described only on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, 76/1076. The screen guide shows at 12 pm (PST) what will actually run at 3pm (PST). It looks like we are getting on the West coast the East coast programming delayed by 3 hours, while the screen guide shows what's running now on the east coast.

Can you connect to the West coast feed? Can you check the symptom I described?

PS: I'll reset the box (unplug) later in the day, when nobody watches anything.

Hi TiffanyR,

I followed your instructions to power off/on the box, and the guide still displays incorrectly the programming for the channel 76/1076. The guide shows what the Hallmark MM site says will run 3 hours from now. It is what now runs on the East Coast, while a live in California. The box displays the correct time. For other channels the guide displays correctly. I haven't checked all of them.

I believe you're thinking that I was complaining about the programing displayed on your website. I don't usually check that.

I was referring to the programming guide displayed on the screen through my DVR.  That was 3 hours in advance to the program currently showing.

Last time when I checked the problem was still not corrected..

We just received word that our programming team are not able to see any issues with the guide content from our side. It is possible that there was an issue with the box requesting the guide data. Are you still having this issue or has it corrected itself?

Thanks for your reply. I haven't checked it lately, but occasionally I've seen the same symptom on The Movie Channel.

When I'll see the problem again, I'll add to this thread.

Right now, Thu, april 7/2016, 2:10 pm PST (Goleta, California), for the channel 1352 = TMCXPHD:

  • the screen guide (and the online guide): "The Dramatics: A Comedy" (from 1 pm to 2:30 pm)
  • on the screen runs: "The weight of Water" (which the guides claim to run from 4 pm)
So, earlier I set my DVR to record "The Dramatics: A Comedy", but the DVR is recording the wrong program.
The other channels don't exhibit this discrepancy.
Please take the necessary action to fix it, and to not happen again.

PS: This problem, the 3  hour discrepancy between the guides and the currently running program happened before, on various channels, then disappeared. It never happens on all the channels, and I suspect there is a logistics problem on your side with the synchronization of the PST / EST times of the programs with the guides.

When you see this discrepancy, does rebooting the receiver in question reset the guide to the correct timezone?

No. Rebooting doesn't solve the problem.
