telephone land line and fax line
I have two Cox supported phone lines. One line is our home phone the other is a fax line connected to our printer. When answering an in coming home phone call with the printer on, we get the terrible fax line ring in our ear piece. Can you help?

I can help. It sounds like you have a distinctive ring telephone number attached to your primary number and your fax sounds to be set to pick up on all calls. If your fax line is a distinctive ring telephone number it will have a different ring cadence than your primary telephone number. The fax machine in your printer needs to be set to pick up on the ring cadence of your fax number only instead of on all calls.
