SMTP port 587 connections blocked from Europe
Why is cox blocking these connections? How do I send email while traveling in Europe? My iPad telnet app is reporting:
Trying smtp.cox.net on port 587...
554 eastrmimpo210 cox connection refused from 82.127.226.183

Looks like that IP is blacklisted. Cox's firewall is probably blocking it.

You can go here to request it to be unblocked. Also, you can ask your ISP if you can use their smtp-in.orange.fr server or if they offer any SMTP relay. See here for more support from them. If you use their SMTP or relay, you may still want to tell them their IP is black listed with two agencies. Spamhaus is known to put big companies on there spam-list to try to get them to pay money to unsubscribe more quickly. It's about making money. :-(
