Slow Email response?

Why does it take more than a minute or two to load emails?  I can hit "inbox" then get up go to refer to get glass of water, then return and still no email.. I then, don't know what to do? Do I hit email inbox again, or wait?  How can I tell if computer is still working on my first attempt to load email, or if I need to hit enter again?

Hi, does this happen on all devices or just one? Are you using a third party email client? Or are  you logging into your Cox Web Mail account on the Cox web site?
