Sickened that Cox omits SEC Network Plus
Am I correct that I can't get SEC Network Plus through Cox? That's what I was told tonight, an unpleasant surprise. I paid for an SEC Network Plus subscription through Cox to be able to watch my college's games on SEC Network and SEC Network Plus sports and had to miss seeing a game tonight thanks to Cox cutting corners by omitting SEC Network Plus. I pay for SEC Network and should have been getting Plus or given an OPTION to pay extra for it. I am going to try to find another way to get tv services I want and get rid of this lame service as soon as I find another way to get the services I want.

Where do you live? I get SEC Sports and SEC Sports 2 in my Sports and Info Pak.

Hi MaryD,
Wees41 is correct. SEC Network Plus is available through Watch ESPN. This is not a TV channel, but online content. Cox customers do have access to SEC Plus through ESPN Watch if they are subscribers to the SEC channel. For more info on the SEC Network, please visit: http://www.secsports.com/article/11130708/about-sec-network
Thank you,

I know how to watch SEC Network Plus on WatchESPN. It is broken. Your support staff just told my family this and they cannot get it to work either. Please fix your interface with them.

I'm glad to hear we are supposed to get it but it's not working. Only ESPN3 and the other channels work on WatchESPN currently.

It doesn't work and is a waste. I know how to use it. Your staff explained it isn't working currently.

I wonder how long this means before Cox fixes internet access to SEC Network and SEC Network Plus on WatchESPN. SEC Network Plus is part of my itv service. But Plus is only available on the web.

We are now having a similar issue. Can get all ESPN channels on TV, including SEC Network and + However, on devices such as ipad using watch ESPN app get message :
Unable to play video. You are not authorized to play this content. Please contact your provider. I can play videos on other ESPN networks....
Just had a chat session with a Cox rep who said I should not be able to get any of that on my computer or devices if I do not have Cox internet. That is B S
Issue still not resolved. We have cable mostly because of sports. Cost of Cox going up because we need to RENT digital tuner boxes for all tvs. Looking at other options now..

Please ensure you're logging in with the primary Cox User ID. Do you experience the same error if you go directly to the website?

I've been having this problem for over 24 hours. Very frustrating that Cox can't fix this issue.

Our family also had the same problem this evening in Gainesville, FL when we were unable to watch SEC+ on the watchespn website or use the app on a tablet or our Roku which has watchespn. We did use our primary id for our Cox account. We called Cox technical support to no avail and spent a long time on the phone with them and they even had us change our password for the account (which we really didn't want to have to do). The other ESPN channels do work on watchespn, but not the SEC ones. This is very frustrating as we had a sick family member who could not go to the game tonight and we counted on being able to stream it on the pc. We have been able to stream the SEC channels in the past, so it definitely does not work. We pay for the regular SEC and ESPN channels on our tv and should get SEC+. Cox can you please, please get this issue resolved?

Had no luck on support chat but tweeted Cox and got a reply from them. They said they were aware and looking into it. I guess it took a while to figure out many people in many areas are having the same problem.

Trust me that it takes all of us repeatedly calling them and writing these posts for this arrogant company to bother looking into anything. I am seriously considering other options. There is a list of what companies offer SEC Network Plus, and one is AT&T, which is who my phone access is through. One of my friends lives in a Comcast area, and I envy that he was able to watch the replay of an SEC game I missed the other night thanks to this outage on SEC Network Plus and which I still can't watch the replay of. Maybe I could try to find the nearest zip code to me that Comcast services.
Cox can't seem to get their technical act together on doing basic functions that pertain to providing the television services. I don't know why they are trying to even be a cable tv provider. They should let a company that knows how to provide actual service buy out their cable tv section because it is incompetent.
