Setting up Email on IPad for secondary COX email address.

I have tried setting up my new IPad with my COX Email  address with no success. My COX  EMail  address is not the address for the primary COX account holder  but is a secondary address listed on the account. When I try and add my COX Email it wants a user  name  and password  for  the account.  When I put in the password associated with my COX Email address it comes back with an error  message  that it can't receive Email. When I put  in the user name and password for the primary COX account holder, it finds the COX server and  starts to download Email for  the primary COX account  holder (my wife),  not mine. How do you set  up IPad for a secondary COX Email address when you are not the primary account  holder?
