Series Recording not recording all shows

I have created a series recording for Mythbusters. I selected First Run/Repeat, and all show times, on the Science Channel and whatever other channels it shows on. However, the DVR seems to be recording random shows, certainly not every time it's aired. I have encountered this problem in the past, and not just with Cox, or with this show or channel. It also occurred with our AT&T Uverse DVR. There is plenty of space left on the DVR. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there another setting parameter I'm not aware of to ensure that all showings are recorded?

Hi Puffin,

One thing that jumps to mind is that there may be recording conflicts at times when Mythbusters is on, so the DVR is recording what it can in order of your settings in the DVR Series Priority menu. Are there any episodes of Mythbusters in the DVR "Missed Recordings" menu?

To check the series recording priorities on a Cox DVR with Contour, begin at the DVR List Menu. Highlight and select Series Manager and press B to Modify Series Priority. Highlight the series that you would like to set at a higher or lower priority in the list and press Select. A number box will appear in the highlight bar. Use the Up or Down arrow to change the priority. (The lower the number, the higher the priority.) You can also use the number pad on your remote control to directly enter a new priority number. Press Select to confirm the change, and then press B to accept all changes. If you have Cox Whole-Home DVR service, you will need to access the Series Priority menu using the individual DVR List View, not "Combined" List View.
