Retrieving Phone Call Documentation Older than 120 Days
I want to confirm that I made a phone call to a particular number back in December 2012. Is there anyway to retrieve a phone call that was made more than 120 days ago?

In the interest of providing a thorough answer for the forum, let me say that getting inbound call records older than those listed in Phone Tools is... well, I won't say impossible, but it does require a subpoena.
However, what you want, getting outbound call records, is possible, though the process is a little more complex than just pulling up the Phone Tools log.
If it was a long distance call, then it's not too hard. It will be printed on your statement for that bill cycle, or if billing was delayed for some reason such as using a third-party carrier then it will be on a subsequent statement.
If it was a local call made within the last 18 months (the information I have states we only store the last 18 months of detailed call records), then the account holder or an authorized user on the account will need to go to a Cox Solutions Store, fill out an "Outbound Call Detail Records Release Form" and provide a photo ID, pay $25.00 per month of records requested, and then the requested outbound logs will be mailed to the statement address within 2-3 weeks.
