Remote will not pause

I have a URC 8820 remote.  It will not pause, rewind, or fast forward live TV or regular shows for the last few days.  Can't seem to figure out why.  Is there something I can do or do I need to replace the remote?

Hi, You may want to try and reset the cable box. While you are doing so, you can remove the batteries from the remote control and put them back in. Please let me know if this helps. Thanks!  -Steff

StephanieS,  I did a reset and the remote will still not pause, rewind, or FF.  Not sure what else I can do besides possibly exchanging the remote for a new one.

I would exchange the remote to see if that improves the issue.
If it continues to not function, replace the receiver. Are you have any other issues with the cable box. Are there any others sets you can try the remote with?
