"Preferred Internet"
How is that just because I buy a new modem from you all all of the sudden you guys chose to give me the preferred internet service without me asking if I want it, or me asking you to give it to me? Not only should that be illegal but it makes me want to switch to AT&T. To find something like that out by just opening up your bill is bad business.

What did they switch you from? Did your bill go up? Or do you just mean they upgraded your speed? I don't think they can, and I don't even know how, they would change your service without you knowing it. Could you give more detail?

Changing any of your services without your consent or knowledge is illegal, so I definitely want to investigate further so we can determine what happened. Even upgrading from a DOCSIS 2.0 modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem will not change your subscribed internet tier. It is possible, of course, that we goofed something up or that a campaign or promo expired, and if so my team can address those issues for you.
