Can I record the PPV Boxing match May 2 and watch it later that night? Do I need to just record the channel I purchased (511) and set it up like any pre-recorded program?

Yes, you can record the PPV Boxing. The PPV event must first be authorized on the receiver before a recording can be set. Typically, the authorizations occur early on Friday morning prior to the Saturday of the event. You should be able to set up a recording at that time.
