Phone spam - new twist
Received a phone call a few minutes ago where my caller ID showed our name and number. I answered out of curiosity and it was one of those calls from "my credit card security co." Want to report it to Cox but can't find where to report it. How do they block their number with mine?

What you describe is called Spoofing. Spoofing technology enables someone to change the incoming caller ID text to show whatever name and phone number the spoofer wants it to show; even your own number!
The use of this technology for deceptive purposes is illegal, and the FCC fines heavily for business who utilize spoofing tactics. You can find more information about spoofing and how to register complaints at http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing.
