Paying for Premier, but getting Preferred speeds, even after upgrading my modem and router.

I have recently upgraded my modem to a Motorola Surfboard DOCSIS 3.0 and Belkin AC1800 router as I thought that would take care of the issue. But I am still only getting 12-25 mbps. Can anyone help or do I just need to try Centurylink here in Omaha?

First off, I'm sorry you bought a Belkin product  Did you try bypassing the router and connecting direct to the modem?

Call Cox and have them check the line as there is a code they have to enter on their end for you to get DOCSIS 3.0 speed.

I had the same issue after updating and the agent I talked to knew exactly what the issue was, changed a code, restarted my SB6141 modem and I was getting the Premier speeds.

Now now, be nice. I would suggest that regardless of the brand. He should get 25mbps direct-to-modem because...

You are correct, sir.

The account has been corrected. I still can't speak for the router, but you should now get 50mbits direct to the modem. Sorry for the confusion.
