Nomorobo

Is Cox going to offer the Nomorobo or similar service before AT&T?

I personally would be willing to pay the $5 extra every month to get the service.

Card Member Services and political calls are wearing me thin.

Nomorobo is offered by AT&T U-verse right now for their telephone service.  They do not offer it for their regular land lines.  If their internet was close to Cox's I'd switch to them right now just to rid myself of robocalls and telemarketers.

My number is listed on the donotcall registry and has been so for over a year.

I have contacted the FCC numerous times about "card member services"  They get 2.2 million complaints about them every year.  Contacting the FCC does not and will never work.

Please tell me that it is actively being considered because it would absolutely be a way to hold and not lose residential customers.

Thank you.

Gary from Edmond,

Nomorobo is software that filters unwanted auto-dialed calls. The software requires telephone companies to offer Simultaneous Ring. Cox does not support the features needed for Nomorobo to work.

Cox customer have the following option to filter unwanted phone calls:
• Selective Call Acceptance – Included in CDT Premier
• Selective Call Rejection – Included in CDT Premier
• Anonymous Call Rejection – 99¢ per month

(Selective Call Acceptance and Rejection are included in the Cox Digital Telephone Premier package.  Anonymous Call Rejection is an a la carte feature that can be subscribed to on a monthly basis.)

Seems like it's time for Cox to step up to the plate and start offering this service. With the technology of today, it makes no sense not to, no doubt Cox has had lots of requests for Nomorobo capability.

The unwanted/illegal calls are the profit opportunities for providers like Cox.  I've been registered with DNC almost since its inception and it has proven to be an insulting joke.... a placebo button for the purpose of fooling people into thinking that something is being done.... interesting and fun fact... during the "sequester" shenanigans a year or so ago, DNC report page was taken down.
