New Movies just out and older movies
I went searching for a movie last night On Demand and wanted to view a Nicholas Cage movie that is just recently released in the theatre. Why is it a 48 hour rental? There are other movies which I would like to see and the same thing either a 24 hour rental, or 48 hour rental. And I only want to see a movie once , I don't need a 24 hr or 48hr rental. My son has Direct TV and I used to and movies are $3.99 and $4.99 to view once just a rental for one time. (example Live, Die. Repeat) he paid $4.99. What the heck is going on with Cox? I was afraid to click purchase.

Cox On Demand offers 24-hours and 48-hour rentals allow you to watch the movie as many times as you want within the time period. Perhaps you order and watch an On Demand movie on Friday night, and enjoy the movie so much that you invite a few family members over to watch it on Saturday morning. If it's within the 24 or 48-hour window of the original order, you'll only be charged for the movie one time.
Perhaps you get an emergency phone call while you are watching an OD movie and have to leave 20 minutes into the film. With Cox On Demand, you can come home and start the movie again within 24 hours (or 48 hours, if applicable) and you'll only be charged for the movie once.

That's a nice thought , but I for one, and a lot of people I personally know do not want to watch a movie for a second or third time. I think we should have a choice of watching it for one time and not having to pay all that extra money for a 24hr. rental or 48 hr. rental.
There is nothing on TV the last week or this week that is new.
