new computer

I bought a new computer and would like to replace the one I have (Windows XP); the other one is new and has Windows 7.  How do I hook my new pc to my modem and wireless?  Do I just unplug one and plug in the other or is there software to consider or do I call Cox?  Thanks

If you already have a wireless router setup connecting the new computer should be as simple as connecting it to the router using the same wire connecting the old computer to the router.  If you try that and have difficulty try resetting your equipment by disconnecting power to the modem and router then power them back on in the same order.
