My connection is no where close to what I have signed up for!?

Hello!

I have signed up for the Preferred Internet Package and am supposed to get up to 50mbps, but instead I am getting 1mbps??????
I am connecting my laptop to the Modem through a Wireless Router....but come on.....1mbps? My hotspot gets better access?

Please help me out here!

I checked things out from this end and everything looks healthy with the modem as far as I can see.  Can you try removing the router and seeing if you get the same results?

Yup, still the same thing, actually went from 1.70-1.37

All of my firmware of modem/router are up to date.

I have tried rebooting the modem/router/laptop.

Can you possibly try it again with another computer?  Preferable one with a gigabit Ethernet interface?  When I look from here it looks like a legacy router is attached which may not be designed to handle the speeds currently available.
