I have Cox Cable TV but not Cox internet (my building has a different provider). Contour 2 on my iPad keeps warning (after successful Login) that I'm not at home, but I am. Does the Contour 2 app require Cox internet to watch movies, etc?

Why?
I have Cox cable tv service and I'm not traveling? Why should it require the use of Cox internet?

Hi ChrisPL, that is one of the requirements to stream TV with the app: The Contour 2 app offers several experiences based on the services you subscribe to with Cox. To experience the full list of features you must have: Essential Internet service or higher. Cox Advanced TV or higher, and the Contour 2 guide. A Cox user ID and password. A WiFi home network behind a DOCSIS modem, eMTA, or gateway. A supported device and operating system. Pretty sure it's not just Cox internet, but YOUR Cox internet. Keeps you from streaming from a android chromecast device on someone else internet and basically giving/selling them TV. Well that and the other reasons mentioned. It's all in the fine print.
