More sound issues

I am trying to pinpoint the cause of a sound issue on my new Samsung 6030 HDTV.

I currently have two Sony HDTVs that are several years old. I have been receiving cable and watching SD channels and local channels in HD via coax input with no issues. I have no HD box.

I am experiencing the following issues with the new Samsung HDTV that is connected the same way as the Sony TVs via coax input, no HD box :

Analog channels seem to be fine. Fox HD channel will lose audio/video sync and gradually the sound will be behind the video by a noticeable amount. Sometimes switching channels and returning will put them back in sync, sometimes not, a power on/off will resolve the problem but it will eventually return. WYES HD viewing will experience audio dropouts of a second or less in a random fashion. Sometimes not for a half hour, sometimes three times in ten minutes. I have contacted WYES and they report no issues in transmission. I experience this same audio dropout from their OTA signal via an antenna.

I have read and tried numerous settings in the TV with respect to various viewing modes, audio sync settings. I have no issues with a Samsung BD player connected via HDMI. It is only broadcast signal and only on this TV.

I need to have COX verify and confirm my signal (and node) has no issues before submitting a warranty claim with Samsung.

Thank you for your attention and I await your reply.

If the other TVs were fine and you can fix the issue by powering the new Tv off and on I think you're on the right track by pursuing the issue with Samsung.  A signal issue wouldn't just be evident on a single TV.
