Modem Crashing

I can reliably crash my modem. All I have to do is run a speedtest from any computer or phone on my network and it will restart every time. It always hangs on upload, download speeds are fine (on ultimate plan). Is my modem dying? Or is something else going on? Problem didn't start till a couple weeks ago. Have restarted modem and routers, computers etc. Called and had modem reset. Still it does it.

That's going to be hard to say based on the information given.  Do you know what make/model modem you have?  Also, could you visit http://192.168.100.1 and post the signal status results?  Perhaps there are some clues there that will help.

Nothing looks too alarming with those results.  Do you see any change in the modem lights when this happens?  Can you duplicate the results without the router attached?

When it crashes the modems light go out just like if I reset it. Yes same results if router is bypassed. it seems to ge be getting worse. If youtube video is attempted it will crash.

The only thing unusual I see from this end is the modem reporting lots of power adjustments to maintain sync.  This could be a symptom of an electrical problem.  You could try connecting the modem to a different power source to see if this makes a difference at all.  Should that not help it may be necessary to have a technician come out and troubleshoot further.

Ok got a new power supply and it works I can now run a speedtest without crashing. Its been a few hours and everything seems stable. Will update in a day or two to make sure it was the right fix.

Thank you so much for your help.
