My complaint to Cox:
Looking for the ability to watch TV online, I saw a big button for a "free trial." I hit it. The nightmare began. This advertiser (I didn't notice this was an ad until after I was sucked in) is a scam artist. I didn't realize this was not a Cox offer. I continued through the webpages, declining anything that cost money, only to discover that I had been signed up for a $1 "trial" against my express wishes. In five days, they'll start billing me $39.99 for this "service." (My version was called MediaTrek. Today the name of the service was called PlayDune.) I have tried every way possible to cancel, but none works. If you do it by phone, you don't get the promised e-mail confirmation. If you it by e-mail, the page keeps telling you to enter information that you've already entered. If you try to use their pay-to-cancel service online, which supposedly costs another dollar, you again find that nothing you type into the form is recognized as being there. You get messages to enter it over and over again. Phoning and trying to speak to someone is impossible. Nobody's available. It's an outrage that Cox provides a means for its customers to be scammed. As a longtime customer, the least you owe me is to not set me up as a sucker for a con artist. I expect a quick resolution by you.
Cox did nothing for me, and the scam button is still on the website.

Would you be able to screenshot the button and send us an e-mail with the picture? I would like to see the ad that you are referring to, please send to cox.help@cox.com so we can get to the bottom of this! Nothing worse than being scammed.

Where was this link on Cox? I don't see it. Could you provide a screen shot or something? Or the link for the Cox page where this ad is?
