McAfee

I got a new computer.Ineed to install anti virus on it,,,,I havr 5 computers enrolled on cox,,,,,,,,3 of which are no longer used. Do I have to uninstall McAfee on all 5 to get open space for the new computer ???????

While it's possible the Cox Mcafee installer will uninstall the old versions of Mcafee before the new install. But sometimes that isn't always complete. One program I use is Revo Uninstaller. and if you want to go really deep, try out HiJackthis. Two programs which are good to leave on the computer anyway. I usually store a folder on my desktop called Toolbox" on all my builds where I hold such miscellaneous utilities.

To open up the licences for the Mcafee suite through us you would need to uninstall it on atleast one computer you do not plan to keep it on. It does report the uninstall and opens up another copy to be installled and activated on the new computer.
