McAfee ecurity

I went to My Account then to My Internet - it isn't on the page until you click on "View More" -  then you click Cox Security Suite to get to McAfee.

I am looking for something that may not exist, I have the McAfee virus scanner now, but I would like to hide the icon on the menu bar without uninstalling the program. Everything I see on the net says you have to uninstall it to remove it from a Mac menu bar.

Do you mean the one from Cox? If not, then you need to uninstall it, not hide it. If you have 2 Antivirus programs on 1 PC, they fight each other.

Also, do you have a Mac? If so, why do you need a Antivirus?
